ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated that certain dominant powers insist on negotiations with Iran not to resolve issues, but for their own agendas.
During a meeting with the heads of the three branches of government and several Iranian officials in Tehran on Saturday, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei criticized the insistence of certain dominant powers on negotiations with Iran. He stated that their push for talks is not intended to resolve issues but rather to impose their own demands. He firmly asserted that the Islamic Republic would never accept such pressures.
Ayatollah Khamenei also condemned European countries for making baseless accusations against Iran, particularly regarding its nuclear commitments. He called their claims “irrational” and questioned their own adherence to the agreement. "You accuse Iran of not fulfilling its nuclear commitments, but did you fulfill yours? From the very beginning, you failed to uphold your obligations," he remarked.
Following the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal, European nations had pledged to compensate for the setback. However, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that they failed to honor their commitments, further undermining trust in their promises.
