Iran Ready to Strengthen Ties with The UAE Based on Mutual Interests

ALWAGHT- Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, has reiterated the country's willingness to enhance cooperation with the UAE based on mutual interests.

During the Joint Iran-UAE Committee Meeting in Abu Dhabi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi emphasized Iran’s readiness to strengthen bilateral ties with the UAE, focusing on political, economic, and regional cooperation. Co-chaired by Takht-Ravanchi and UAE's Assistant Minister for Political Affairs Lana Nusseibeh, the meeting aimed to explore new areas of collaboration and accelerate the implementation of existing agreements.

Takht-Ravanchi reiterated Iran’s foreign policy priority of fostering stronger relations with neighboring countries and highlighted the importance of unity among Islamic nations in addressing Israeli aggression in Palestine. He called for a unified stance at the upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers' meeting to oppose Israeli-American actions in Gaza.

Nusseibeh reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to expanding relations with Iran and expressed optimism that ongoing political consultations would improve coordination and lead to effective implementation of agreements. Both sides welcomed progress in economic, consular, and security cooperation, and expressed readiness to finalize pending agreements and memorandums of understanding.
