Iranian Transport Aircraft Participates in Airshow

ALWAGHT- Iran's domestically produced transport plane, 'Simorgh,' soared through the skies during an airshow on Kish Island in the south.

The 12th Iran International Aerospace Exhibition commenced on December 10 on Kish Island.

As part of the event, Iran's domestically produced Simorgh transport plane was showcased and performed a flight over the Persian Gulf Island.

During the exhibition, Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh highlighted that the Simorgh was designed and manufactured by the Defense Ministry in collaboration with domestic knowledge-based companies.

He emphasized that the transport plane adheres to international standards and regulations.

The Simorgh completed its maiden flight successfully in May 2023, a year after its initial unveiling.

Officials have stated that the development of this aircraft is aimed at strengthening the country’s defensive capabilities.
