Iran Observes National Day of Resistance Against Global Arrogance

ALWAGHT- People from all walks of life in Iran participated in nationwide rallies on Sunday morning to observe the National Day of Resistance against Global Arrogance.

Residents of Tehran gathered at Palestine Square and marched toward the former US embassy, known as the 'Den of Espionage.' Similar demonstrations took place across other cities nationwide.

Participants, primarily school and university students, voiced opposition to what they described as the arrogant policies of foreign adversaries, especially the United States. The event in Tehran featured a speech by Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

On November 4, 1979, less than a year after the Islamic Revolution overthrew a US-backed monarchy, a group of Iranian university students calling themselves 'students following the path of Imam Khomeini' seized the US embassy in Tehran, citing its role in espionage and efforts to destabilize the new Islamic government. Documents later released by these students alleged that the embassy was indeed involved in covert actions against the Islamic Republic.

Each year, on the 13th of the Iranian month of Aban, Iranians—particularly students—hold rallies across the nation to commemorate this day.
