ALWAGHT- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf arrived in Beirut on Saturday to deliver a message from Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Upon his arrival in Beirut on Saturday morning, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf told reporters that his stop in Lebanon was part of his journey to Geneva, Switzerland, for the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Qalibaf stated that the purpose of his visit to Beirut is to convey a message of support from the Iranian people and officials to the Lebanese nation and resistance. He emphasized that he is delivering a message from Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as well as from Iranian authorities and citizens.
"We will always stand by the Lebanese nation and government, offering our support during difficult times," he said.
Qalibaf also mentioned that during the IPU Assembly in Geneva, he would be a voice for the oppressed people of Gaza and Lebanon, fulfilling his duty to advocate for the Palestinian and Lebanese nations.
