ALWAGHT- Fighters from Iraqi resistance groups carried out a drone strike on a significant location in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, responding to the ongoing Israeli assaults on Gaza, as stated by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of anti-terror fighters, announced on its Telegram channel on Tuesday that it executed the attack using an al-Arfad kamikaze drone. The group stated that this strike is part of its ongoing resistance against Israel, aimed at supporting Palestinians in Gaza and retaliating for what they described as Israel's genocidal war against unarmed civilians.
The coalition has pledged to persist in targeting strategic installations throughout the Israeli-occupied territories. On Sunday, they claimed responsibility for a similar operation, stating that they targeted Israeli military sites in the Jordan Valley with Arfad drones, with most successfully hitting their intended targets as Israeli defense systems struggled to intercept many of them.
Since the onset of the war on Gaza in October of the previous year, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been conducting attacks on Israeli positions. Israel’s military campaign has primarily focused on Gaza, targeting hospitals, residential buildings, and places of worship following a surprise offensive by Palestinian resistance groups on October 7.
Recent reports indicate that at least 41,455 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have been killed, and 95,878 have been injured due to the Israeli conflict. Additionally, the war has displaced approximately 1.9 million people within Gaza, many of whom have had to relocate multiple times.
