ALWAGHT- A senior official from the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas stated that the United States lacks genuine intent to implement a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
According to a Sunday report from the Palestinian Shehab News Agency, Osama Hamdan stated that the United States' proposal does not include a ceasefire or the withdrawal of troops from Gaza.
Hamdan also pointed out that ongoing negotiations have yet to address the release of Palestinian prisoners, emphasizing that any potential ceasefire must include clear terms, including the release of these prisoners.
The senior Hamas official further accused the US of trying to give the occupying regime more time to commit additional massacres.
Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, acting as mediators in the ceasefire talks, announced the conclusion of negotiations in Doha with a joint statement on Friday.
More than 10 months after Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and the capture of numerous Zionist settlers by the Palestinian Resistance, the Israeli regime has not only failed to secure the release of captives despite its extensive aggression against the besieged area but has also lost a large number of its own citizens due to air and artillery strikes in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
On Saturday, the Health Ministry in Gaza reported that the Israeli military had killed an additional 69 Palestinians in recent assaults, bringing the total number of fatalities to 40,074 since October 7, 2023, with approximately 92,537 others injured.
