ALWAGHT- In a message to Lebanon’s Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Iranian President-Elect Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s ongoing support for regional resistance.
In his message on Monday, Pezeshkian stated that Iran will continue to support the Axis of Resistance "with strength."
"The Islamic Republic has always backed the resistance against the illegitimate Zionist regime," Pezeshkian said. He added, "This support is rooted in the fundamental policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the ideals of the late Imam Khomeini, and the guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and it will continue with strength."
He also expressed confidence that the resistance movements in the region will not allow the Zionist regime to persist in its warmongering and criminal actions against the oppressed people of Palestine and other nations.
Pezeshkian thanked the Hezbollah leader for his congratulatory message on his election victory and wished well-being and progress for the Lebanese movement's fighters.
