Amir-Abdollahian: The scope of the war has expanded in Gaza

Alwaght- Iran's Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian has criticized the UN and other international institutions' failure to press the Israeli regime to stop the war on Gaza.

Amir-Abdollahian made the comments in a message to the leaders of the resistance groups on Thursday night.

"The Muslims of the world have welcomed this dear month in a situation where the occupation regime continues to commit crimes against humanity and genocide against the oppressed Palestinian nation, especially the oppressed women and children of this holy land, and effective and deterrent action by the responsible international institutions, including the United Nations Security Council, has not been made to stop the Israeli regime's genocide," part of his message read.

In his message, the top Iranian diplomat congratulated the leaders of the resistance groups, as well as to the resilient and steadfast nations of Lebanon and Palestine, on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

In the congratulatory message for Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh, and Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the Iranian minister praised all resistance forces for standing against the “hateful and criminal Zionist regime."

He also hailed the "heroic, prideful, and historic resistance" to the massive Israeli crimes and Tel Aviv backers as the "fake advocates of human right."

Amir-Abdollahian further said that the Israeli regime has failed to realize any of its stated goals thanks to the Palestinian resistance, and that "the signs of this historic defeat have already shown themselves."

“With sincere and unwavering faith in the assured fulfilment of God's promise of victory, I solemnly commemorate the memory of all the martyrs of the resistance during these virtuous and luminous days and nights,” Amir-Abdollahian concluded his message.

On Wednesday, Amir-Abdollahian write letters to the UN Chief, the UNSC members, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, warning about the repercussions of the Zionist regime’s ongoing aggressive moves in the holy month of Ramadan.

In the letters, the Iranian foreign minister stated, “With the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and under these circumstances that we witness the continuation of the United Nations Security Council’s failure to stop the war against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in Palestine amid the United States’ open and deliberate obstruction of any effective move by the Council through extremely resorting to the right of veto, it is absolutely necessary and incumbent upon the international community to find practical ways and take serious measures to support the Palestinian people, immediately stop the military strikes against the Gaza Strip, and get it out of the current dire situation.”

He further wrote: “It is now evidently clear that one of the dangerous goals of the Israeli regime in completely blockading the Gaza Strip and preventing the delivery of immediate and sufficient humanitarian aid, is to set the stage for social and civil collapse, and to ruin all signs of Palestinian life and identity, and to forcibly displace those living in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and making them migrate to the neighboring countries and this approach proves that the criminal regime is deliberately pursuing the policy of total annihilation of the Palestinian nation and identity."

This was the fourth letter by Amir-Abdollahian in which the UN was directly addressed and asked to press Israel for a ceasefire.
