Iran Arrests Two Terrorists behind Sitstsn and Balochestan Police Headquarters Attack

Alwaght- Iran's Security forces say they have arrested two terrorists involved in an attack on a police station in the eastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan in December.

Iranian broadcaster Press TV cited spokesman to the Iranian police Brigadier General Saeed Motazer-al-Mahdi as saying that the individuals have been identified as members of the Pakistan-based so-called Jaish al-Adl terrorist group, which has claimed responsibility for the attack.

They were captured in one of the counties of Sistan and Baluchestan province following the police forces' technical and intelligence monitoring, he added, without specifying the date of the detentions.

11 police officers were killed in December in one of the deadliest terrorist attacks on security forces in years.

In response to the attack, Iran on January 16 struck with a salvo of precision missiles two major strongholds of Jaish Al-Adl (Army of Justice) terrorist organization in Pakistan's territory.

The bases were specifically targeted and successfully demolished in the Koh-e-Sabz area of the province, which is known to be among the main bastions of Jaish al-Adl terrorists.

Jaish al-Adl is a notorious terrorist group with headquarters in Pakistan, and has been involved in numerous terror attacks against Iran.

Back on December 15 last year, the group claimed responsibility for the assault on Rask County’s police headquarters.
