Alwaght-Senior Palestinian Islamic Resistance movement leader reiterates that the only possible way to talk with the usurper Israeli regime is through weapons and stones, calling for the spread of al-Quds (Jerusalem) Intifada (uprising) all over occupied Palestinian territories.
Ismail Haniya, deputy head of Hamas's Politburo made the remarks during a conference held on Thursday in Gaza by al-Quds International Institution under the theme, "The Cultural and Social Reality in al Quds city and ways of Improvement."
Haniya stated that the Intifada overcame three significant obstacles, which are "the political attempts to contain it, the severity of the Israeli oppression and temptations," stressing the need to expand its reach.
He pointed out that the Intifada started in order to achieve the Palestinian aspiration for return, freedom and independence.
The Hamas official also called for strengthening the national unity at the political level in order to support the Intifada at the grassroots level.
"The unity which the soul of the Intifada has reflected on the ground should be transferred to all political echelons in order to have consolidated performance," Haniya underlined.
"This requires agreeing on a national strategy, rallying around this Intifada and engaging in it in every sense of the word," he added.
The Hamas official also called for more Palestinian openness to all Arab and Muslim nations as well as the Western world and promoting the relations with them in order to protect the Intifada and rally worldwide support for it.
"We want to talk with everyone, save the occupation. There is no negotiation or dialog with it but through guns and stones," he said.
The remarks by Haniya come at a time of intensified aggression by Israeli regime occupation forces against Palestinians. In Palestine, Zionist settlement expansion continues to usurp more land unabated in the West Bank. Meanwhile, Gaza has experienced three devastating assaults by Israel since 2008 -- which according to a recent UN report will render the strip uninhabitable within five years.
The recent al-Quds Intifada has been triggered to end the temporal and spatial division of al-Aqsa Mosque, the Israeli settlement construction, the Judaization schemes, and Israeli regime's brutal attacks on Palestinians. Over 126 Palestinians have been killed in protests that have swept the occupied Palestinian since the beginning of October.
