Alwaght- Extremist Israeli settlers chopped down dozens of olive trees belonging to Palestinian residents near the village of Amateen to the east of Qalqilia in the occypied West Bank, WAFA reported on Saturday.
The Palestinian news agency cited local sources as saying that a number of zionists from the illegal settlement of Havat Gilad, cut down around 40 olive trees in land located to the south of the aforementioned village.The land belongs to two local residents in the village.
On Friday, too, radical Israeli settlers destroyed dozens of olive saplings and stole equipment belonging to a Palestinian resident in al-Mughayyir village to the east of Ramallah.
According to WAFA, the Zionists stormed the eastern part of the said village and sprayed hazardous pesticides on olive saplings, destroying at least 150 saplings.
Settlers further stole 50 barrels and 30-meter-long of barbed wires belonging to a local resident in the village.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli regime's authorities.
