Alwaght- A gang of extremist Zionist settlers have stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) while Israeli jets have bombed Palestinians at the besieged Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours.
On Sunday, morning extremist Zionist settlers raided al-Aqsa Mosque under the protections of Israeli regime forces.
Extremist Zionist Organizations of students and women flaunched calls for massive incursions into the Islamic holy site in celebrations of the so called Chanukah Jewish holiday and the beginning of the Hebrew month.
According to PIC News, Muslim worshipers rushed to the Mosque to confront the provocative Zionists.
Israeli regime forces threatened worshipers with bans from al-Aqsa on Monday. Zionist settlers also took photos for them in order to incite Israeli police to penalize them.
The worshipers proudly and steadfastly defended al-Aqsa Mosque and confronted intruding settlers, emphasizing that al-Aqsa Mosque will remain an Islamic site only and that they will not allow the devious Israeli project aiming at its division.
Elsewhere, early Monday Israeli regime warplanes carried out several airstrikes against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The airstrikes hit several targets including military posts in the northern and central parts of the Palestinian blockaded enclave.
According to local Palestinian media, Israeli Apache helicopters were also involved and launched at least two missiles at the northwestern part of the strip, targeting the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, a military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas.
Since the beginning of October intensified clashes have swept the occupied Palestine and are being referred to as the al-Quds Intifada, due to events at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in September that served as a trigger. The recent al-Quds Intifada was ignited to end the temporal and spatial division of al-Aqsa Mosque, the Israeli settlement construction, the Judaization schemes, and Israeli regime's brutal attacks on Palestinians. Gaza and the West Bank Palestinians have united in the uprising against the Israeli regime.
