Iran’s IRGC Forces Annihilate Three Thugs for Comrades’ Martyrdom

Iran’s IRGC Forces Annihilate Three Thugs for Comrades’ Martyrdom

In a statement on Friday, the Quds Base of the IRGC’s Ground Force announced that three elements behind the martyrdom of its forces were successfully annihilated.

The statement identified one of the slain elements as Mehrab Shah-Bakhsh, saying Shah-Bakhsh and his two accomplices were actively involved in disturbing the peace of the people of the southeastern region of the country.

“Following the martyrdom of two decent fighters of the Quds Base of the [IRGC], Mehran Shourizadeh and Mohsen Kaykhaa’i, by armed thugs and mercenaries of the global arrogance during a mission, with the intelligence dominance of the base, the Islamic fighters killed the perpetrator of the crime in a precise operation,” read the statement.

Last Sunday, the Quds Base announced that Shourizadeh and Kaykhaa'i were martyred on duty in the southeastern city of Zahedan, the provincial capital of Sistan and Baluchestan.

Iranian forces frequently engage in clashes with thugs and terrorist outfits or carry out operations against them near the country’s western and eastern borders.

In mid-December, the forces of the Quds Base disbanded a terrorist team in Sistan and Baluchestan.

“A terrorist team that was planning to carry out an act of sabotage and terrorism in the Saravan county was disbanded through the vigilance of the fighters of this base,” the IRGC said at the time, adding that four terrorists were killed in the clash and a large number of weapons and ammunition were seized.
