Alwaght-Hundreds of people from the ISIS-held Iraqi town of Rutbah in the western Anbar province have taken part in a demonstration to protests atrocities by the terrorists group.
The protests were triggered by the execution of Munir al-Kobeisi a local resident in a remote western Iraqi town.
In response to the uprising, ISIS terrorists kidnapped some 70 protestors amid fears that they might be executed.
Kobeisi, a civil servant, was executed early on Saturday for killing an ISIS terrorist over a long time clan feud, said provincial spokesman Eid Amash. He added that the current whereabouts of the missing protesters are still unknown.
Apart from the missing protesters, dozens of others were reportedly tied to lamp posts as a manner of punishment.
The northern and western parts of Iraq have been plagued by violence ever since ISIS terrorists began their march through Iraqi territory in June 2014.
The terrorists have been carrying out horrific acts of violence, including public decapitations, against all Iraqi communities such as Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians.
Iraqi soldiers, police units, Kurdish forces, Shiite volunteers and Sunni tribesmen have been engaged in joint operations to drive the terrorists out of areas they have seized.
