Alwaght- French National Front leader Marine Le Pen says the migrants crisis in Europe would never have existed were it not for the destabilization of Syria by France.
In an interview with France's TV1, Le Pen attacked President Francois Hollande and his predecessor Nicolas Sarkozy on Friday, saying that the country's policy in the West Asia has destabilized the region, leading to the migrant crisis which France and the rest of Europe are paying for today.
The politician added that "we have only to thank Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande for what is happening now."
When asked what Europe could do to stem the problem, she told her interviewer that "the humanitarian solution would have been not to destabilize [Syria]."
Hundreds of thousands of migrants have been fleeing to Europe, through Turkey or across the Mediterranean, most of them from war and chaos-hit regions in the West Asia, including Syria, Libya and other parts northern Africa.
Recently Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said "It is clear that the influx of refugees and migrants is a result of the military interventions carried out by the West, particularly in Syria and Libya, as well as in Iraq and Afghanistan."
North African countries especially Libya has been unable to stop the migrants using their borders due to internal strife caused by NATO's military meddling in the country during the people revolution which toppled the Gaddafi regime.
After NATO-led interference, Libya has now become a failed state, operating like Somalia with a black market where humans have also become a commodity, fueling the smuggling of people to Europe.
