More Gangs of Extremist Zionist Settlers Storm al-Aqsa Mosque

Alwaght- Gangs of extremist Zionist settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Quds (Jerusalem) under the protection of Israeli regime forces on Sunday.

Palestinian worshipers at the Mosque say that a gang of extremist settlers called Trustees for the Temple broke into the plazas of the holy al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday morning.

The settlers attempted to climb the Dome of the Rock, but Palestinian worshipers including children stopped them. The provocative Zionist settlers took photos of the holy site as well.

Israeli forces erected, in the morning, a military barrier at the entrance of al-Issawiyah town to the northwest of Occupied Quds.

The Director of al-Aqsa Mosque, Omar al-Kaswani has confirmed that about 80 settlers stormed the Muslims’ holy site under the protection of dozens of Israeli forces . The worshipers confronted settlers with chants of “Allah the Greatest”, he added.

Tensions have been running high at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound over the past few weeks following regular incursions inside the mosque by hordes of Jewish settlers backed by Israeli regime forces. Israeli authorities are systematically acting to change the identity and character of al-Quds.

Over the past decades, Tel Aviv regime has tried to change the demographic makeup of the holy city by constructing illegal settlements, destroying historical sites, and expelling the local Palestinian population.
Reports say the Israeli regime is planning to build a synagogue in the al-Aqsa Mosque compound as part of its efforts to further Judaize the occupied territories.
