Alwaght: A military official at Yemeni Defense Ministry has denied what have been published on Saudi regime’s media alleging progress by al-Qaeda elements and foreign invaders in Aden city.
The official was quoted by Yemen News Agency, SABA as saying, “the fake factory news report made by the aggressors is propaganda attempting to boost the defeated spirit of their elements and mercenaries.”
The army says terrorists have not been able to take control of the downtown district of Tawahi and the presidential palace in Aden - a claim earlier made by the forces loyal to Hadi.
The Army besieged those elements at Aden airport intersection, repulsed their attacks on Tawahi district destroyed many of the military vehicles they received recently from the United Arab Emirates, a Yemeni Defense Ministry official said.
Earlier reports indicated the Saudi regime has sent Special Forces into Yemen under the pretext of escorting some fugitive former Yemeni officials back into its war-torn southern neighbor, in another violation of Yemeni sovereignty.
The forces, which numbered 50, accompanied the officials on their way from the Saudi capital, Riyadh, into the southwestern Yemeni province of Aden, the Bawabatii news website reported on Friday.
Aden has for months been the scene of heavy fighting between Ansarullah fighters and Saudi-backed terrorists.
Meanwhile three members of the same family were killed in a Saudi airstrike on al-Maqash area in Sa'ada province, a local source said Friday.
The source added the Saudi aggression launched on the first day of Eid al-Fitr a series of air strikes on some areas in Sa'ada province, including al-Tala'a district and Sa'ada city.
Elsewhere Saudi war planes attacked on Friday Al-Manjar village, Arradmah district, in Ibb governorate.
A security source told Saba that the Saudi aggression sent a missile against Al-Manjar village without causing any losses in lives or properties. The attack coincided with the first day of Eid El-Fitr in the war-battered Yemen.
Meanwhile on Saturday Yemeni army, backed by popular committees, has carried out a retaliatory missile attack on a military base in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern border city of Najran.
Riyadh launched its military aggression against Yemen on March 26 without a UN mandate to undermine Ansarullah and restore power to Hadi.
Yemeni sources say more than 4,800 people have been killed since Riyadh started its deadly airstrikes against it impoverished neighbor. Most of the victims of the Saudi war on Yemen are civilians including children, women and the elderly. The brutal Saudi attacks, which continued throughout the Holy Month of Ramadhan, have also not spared civilian infrastructure including hospitals, schools, mosques, bridges, food factories and aid convoys.
