Afghan Army Kills 41 Taliban militants

Alwaght - Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry stated that Afghan forces attacked Taliban militants across the country killing 41 of them in past 24 hours.

The statement announced on Monday also included that 16 other Taliban militants were injured in the attacks.

The Afghan troops conducted their operations in several provinces of the country including Baghlan, Helmand, Qandahar, Takhar, and Zabul.

The Afghan forces also defused ten bombs in Helmand and Qandahar provinces.

Meanwhile, 14 Taliban militants were killed during clashes between the ISIS terrorist group and the Taliban in Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar Province.

Nangarhar police stated that the combat between the two militant groups broke out in Nazian district of the province.

According to the report, ISIS militants burnt two houses belonging to the Taliban militants.

ISIS terrorists have reportedly been recruiting militants in Afghanistan over the recent months, in what is believed to be aimed at establishing sanctuaries in areas traditionally seen as Taliban strongholds.

ISIS has demanded that the local Taliban pledge allegiance to their group.

There has been frequent clashes between the terrorist groups in troubled Afghanistan over the past few months.
