Alwaght- Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei blamed the US for fueling crisis in West Asia by abetting and equipping some regional countries to confront Iran.
Addressing hundreds of laborers and entrepreneurs from across the nation gathered in capital Tehran, Iran's Supreme Leader said Monday, ““Americans are trying to provoke Saudi Arabia against Tehran ... Their aim is to create more regional crisis ... to push Muslims to fight against Muslims.”
“If these countries gain wisdom, they won’t get involved in any conflict against Iran; but, if they enter a war with Iran, they will certainly be struck down and defeated. The Americans want to avoid the costs of confrontation with the system created by Islamic Revolution,” he said.
Ayatollah Khamenei’s remarks came a day after US new Secretary of State Pompeo met Saudi King Salman in Riyadh on a flying visit to the region.
He said on Sunday that the US was deeply concerned by what he said Iran’s “destabilizing and malign activities” in the West Asia.
Meeting with laborers this morning (April 30), the Leader of the Revolution stressed: “Yesterday, an exhibition of Iranian products was held here. I visited the exhibition for several hours; I saw your products. Truly, the artistic hands of the Iranian worker must be praised. Hands must be praised for your work that I saw.”
Pointing out that one method used by the enemies for confronting the Islamic revolution is through economic confrontation, the Leader said “Another method is abetting ignorant and heedless states in our own region. The US incites the Saudis in order to create conflict in our region. Why don’t they incite the Zionists? Because they want Muslims to fight against Muslims."
In response to American leaders' claims that they aim to curb Iran's Influence in West Asia, ayatollah Khamenei said, “Americans are the ones who should leave the West Asia, the west of Asia and the Persian Gulf is our home.”
