Alwaght- Syria has accused the US-led military alliance purportedly fighting SIS in the country of killing civilians and protecting terrorist groups.
In two separate letters addressed to United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the rotating president of the UN Security Council, Koro Bessho, Syrian Foreign Ministry Syria strongly condemned, on Thursday the crimes committed by the US-led “international coalition” against Syrian civilians in Deir Ezzor.
The condemnation came after latest massacre committed by the US-led “international coalition” in the village of al-Jurze Sharqi in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zor province.
Syria’s official news agency, SANA, reported on Thursday that US-led air raids had claimed the lives of at least 23 civilians, mostly children and women, in the al-Jurze Sharqi village.
The Ministry said that the US-led coalition, who committed this horrible crime, had always pretended to fight ISIS terrorist group while the fact is that this coalition moved terrorists to secured location, adding that eradication of ISIS was achieved by Syrian Army and its allies.
In the letter, the Ministry also condemned turning a blind eye for the massacres committed by the “international coalition” in the provinces of Raqqa and Deir Ez-Zor by those who claim concern about the rule of law, human rights and international humanitarian law.
The Ministry said that the success of Syrian Arab Army and its allies in eradicating ISIS terrorist group and expelling it from the main cities in Deir Ez-Zor has foiled the attempts of the coalition who had always pretended to fight ISIS while the fact is that this coalition transferred terrorists to secured sites.
On October 11, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said the US-led coalition was trying to destroy the Arab country and prolong the armed conflict.
