Alwaght- Finnish police say two people have died and six people have been injured after a stabbing attack in a market square in the south-western city of Turku.
It was unclear if the incident was related to terrorism, said police, who shot at and arrested one man after the attack. Contrary to earlier reports, police said they were not looking for other suspects.
Police said the suspect was in custody and being treated in a hospital after officers shot him in the thigh. People were warned to stay away from Turku as security was reinforced nationwide.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots. The attacker shouted extremist slogans allegedly linking him to the ISIS Takfiri terrorists, they said.
The stabbing spree comes hot on the heels of two deadly car ramming attacks in Catalonia which left 14 people dead and some 100 others injured.
