Ankara-Tel Aviv Reconciliation ’Total Embarrassment for Turkey’: Pundit

Ankara-Tel Aviv Reconciliation ’Total Embarrassment for Turkey’: Pundit

Alwaght- Reconciliation agreement between Israeli regime and Turkey is “an absolute capitulation” by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, London-based political analyst, Hafsa Kara-Mustapha says.

Turkey's Erdogan "has sold the lives of nine Turkish rights activists killed by the Israeli forces in 2010 for a petty price," Hafsa Kara-Mustapha told Iran-based Press TV, referring to a raid by Israeli commandos on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla, Marmara Ship, in international waters.

Israel and Turkey announced on Monday they would normalize ties after Six years on of freeze in bilateral ties between Ankara and Tel Aviv.

"I think this is a total embarrassment for Turkey. It does come after the other capitulation in apologizing to Russia after seven months given the biting sanctions that Turkey has come under,” Kara-Mustapha said.

"This is the curse of Syrian people. Erdogan is one of the contributors to the current catastrophe in Syria and now it is time for him to witness the slow-motion disintegration of his government as retribution," Kara-Mustapha said.

Despite Erdogan’s rhetoric in which he has verbalized commitment to the Palestinians cause and promised to help ease Gaza’s suffering, Turkey's ruling party, AKP, has reportedly discarded its demand that Tel Aviv's naval blockade of Gaza be lifted, as Tel Aviv Regime has seriously rejected Ankara's precondition of lifting blockade of the costal enclave.

Gaza has been blockaded by the Israeli regime in collaboration with Egypt since 2007, a situation that has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.

The apartheid regime of Israel denies about 1.8 million people in Gaza their basic rights, such as freedom of movement, proper job, and adequate healthcare and education.
