US Base in Syria Sustains Attack

US Base in Syria Sustains Attack

ALWAGHT- Sources report that the US Conoco base in Syria was struck by multiple rockets at midnight on Monday.

US forces stationed at the Conoco plant base conducted artillery strikes on the villages of Huwaija Sakr and Al-Jafra in the Deir Ezzor countryside.

This is not an isolated incident. Last Monday, Resistance factions in Syria reportedly targeted the base in northern Deir Ezzor with several missiles. These missiles were launched from the International Coalition's base in the Conoco field, aimed at Saker Island and the eastern outskirts of Deir Ezzor, which are under Syrian Army control. Fortunately, no material damage was reported.

Sources indicated that US forces at the occupied Syrian field shelled the village of Marat in the Deir Ezzor countryside, injuring four civilians, including a woman. Six artillery shells struck the vicinity of Jufra and Saker Island as a result of the US actions.

A similar incident occurred on Saturday when Resistance factions in Syria targeted the Conoco field with two rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), prompting a response from the US targeting the Saker Island area. Since October 2023, US and coalition forces in Iraq and Syria have faced numerous attacks in response to the onset of the Israeli war on Gaza. Currently, the US military has approximately 2,500 troops deployed in Iraq and 900 in occupied territories in Syria.
