The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah condemns Saudi Arabia for using the Hajj pilgrimage for political purposes

ALWAGHT- Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen's Ansarullah, said: "The Saudi government is exploiting the Hajj pilgrimage."

In a televised speech marking the start of the Hajj rituals, the leader of Yemen's Ansarullah asserted that Riyadh has no right to exploit pilgrims during this religious duty.

He added that the taxes imposed by Saudi Arabia on pilgrims constitute extortion, exploitation, and illicit gain.

Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi pointed out that those who call themselves the "Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques" are misusing the holy sites for substantial financial gain and extortion.

According to the leader of Yemen's Ansarullah, Saudi Arabia has imposed a narrow-minded Wahhabi perspective on the Hajj pilgrimage.

He stated that the Saudi government has detained some pilgrims from various countries while they were performing Hajj in the holy land.

The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah added that the Saudi government's oppressive measures, which prevent Muslims from fulfilling the Hajj pilgrimage, lack legitimacy.

He noted that for most people in Yemen, who are neighbors of the land of the Two Holy Mosques, going to Hajj is very costly and complicated.

Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi also remarked that while the United States considers itself the greatest model of liberalism, it is actually the greatest symbol of brutality, tyranny, and crime. Furthermore, he said that the Zionist regime, which views itself as a follower of Western ideology, is a symbol of crime, tyranny, corruption, oppression, and savagery.
