ALWAGHT- Today (Thursday), the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced the response of the country's air defense to the early morning attack by the Zionist regime on the outskirts of Damascus.
A military official from Syria revealed that at 3:20 am today, the Zionist adversary launched an aerial assault from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights, targeting a building on the outskirts of Damascus.
The official added that Syrian air defenses engaged in combat against the assault, successfully intercepting several missiles launched by the enemy.
Highlighting the aftermath, the Syrian military source underscored that the attack inflicted some damage.
Earlier, Al-Manar, a Lebanese media outlet, reported multiple explosions in southern Damascus, signaling an Israeli assault on the border of the Sayyida Zainab area within the city.
Additionally, there were reports from various sources indicating that the Zionist regime targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) near Damascus earlier this morning.
