ALWAGHT- The Wall Street Journal, referencing Arab officials, disclosed that Saudi Arabia and the UAE declined to grant the US and Israel access to their airspace to respond to the unprecedented Iranian attack that occurred last Saturday.
The newspaper reported that the US and Israel sought to use the airspace of Saudi Arabia and the UAE to intercept missiles and drones launched by Iran, but the two countries denied them access.
Meanwhile, Arab officials stated that Saudi Arabia and the UAE limited their involvement to sharing intelligence with the US and Israel, which is said to have helped in thwarting Iran's attacks.
The Wall Street Journal also highlights that Riyadh and Abu Dhabi have aimed to maintain a neutral stance amid the heightened conflict in the Middle East.
