Britain Refuses to Ease Visa Rules for Ukrainians

Alwaght- Prime Minister Liz Truss promised billion of dollars additional weapons and finances to Ukraine as the war goes on in that country.

The new British PM on Tuesday said that her government would meet next year to confirm aid that would exceed the 2.3 billion pound ($2.63 billion) in military aid spent on Ukraine in 2022.

Her office stated that London's military aid package for Kiev is likely to include equipment such as the Multiple Launch Rocket System.

Britain's commitment of $2.63bn to Kiev in 2022 resulted in the UK becoming the second-largest military donor to Ukraine, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday. British military aid, it said, has involved the provision of hundreds of rockets, 120 armored vehicles, and five air defense systems, and the training of some 27,000 Ukrainian troops since 2015.

"Since Russia’s military operations against Ukraine began on 24 February 2022, bilateral military assistance has been stepped up," a report by the British parliament said.

The report, published on August 15, further said that London "has committed £2.3 billion in military assistance to Ukraine thus far. The UK is also hosting a training programme, supported by a number of allies, with the aim of training 10,000 new and existing Ukrainian personnel within 120 days."

The British government was among the first countries to provide aids to Kiev as Russia launched a military campaign on Ukraine in February.
