Syrian Army Makes Advances, Destroys Terrorists’ Dens
Alwaght- Syrian forces on Saturday carried out massive military operations against the Takfiri terrorist groups across the country resulting in major gains for government forces and heavy losses on the terrorists.
According to the official Syrian news agency SANA, Army units targeted terrorists’ routes and dens in Kafr Hamra village and Byanoun and Hreitan towns in northern Aleppo on the international highway leading to Turkey. Several terrorists were killed in the course of the operations.
More terrorists were killed and some of their vehicles were destroyed in the villages of al-Ameriyeh and Khan Touman in the southern countryside of Aleppo, while others were killed in Kfarnaha village in the western countryside.
Meanwhile, ISIS terrorists suffered losses as army units targeted their gatherings and positions in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy in the eastern countryside of the province.
The army also targeted hideouts and positions of terrorists from al-Nusra Front and other groups in the neighborhoods of al-Rashidin and Bustan al-Basha in Aleppo city.
In Homs Syrian Army units destroyed terrorists’ dens in al-Rastan and al-Qariatin in Homs countryside.
Elsewhere in the northwest countryside of Hama government forces destroyed a terrorists’ vehicle and a mortar launcher in al-Bahsa village. In a related development the Syrian air force launched air strike on hideouts of al-Nusra Front terrorists in Abu Risheh, Sankufeh and Jub al-Ahmar in the northern countryside of Lattakia. Several terrorists were killed and vehicles equipped with machineguns were destroyed in the strikes.
In a similar operation the Syrian jets destroyed vehicles for Jaish al-Fateh and killed a number of its members in Farikeh and Mhambel in Idleb countryside.
The people of Syria have been witnessing a deadly crisis since March 2011. Reports say the violence fueled by Takfiri terrorist groups has so far claimed the lives of over 222,000 people.
According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), over 7.2 million people have been internally displaced, and more than three million others have been forced to flee the country.
Syrian government blames Western powers and their regional allies - especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey - of supporting the terrorists operating inside the country.
