Alwaght- Palestinian youth stabbed and seriously wounded an Israeli regime's policeman outside Quds old city on Sunday.
The regime's Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said the attacker was a Palestinian aged around 18 who came from the West Bank but gave no further details on his identity.
"The border police officer, who was very seriously wounded, managed to see the Palestinian youth, fired at him and wounded him critically," she said in a statement which had initially described the officer's condition as critical.
Meanwhile the spokesman of The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, Husam Badran, praised the stabbing operation in Occupied Quds on Sunday.
In a press statement, Badran said the new stabbing operation has new messages as it coincided with the anniversary of the martyrdom of the minor Mohammad Abu Khdair who was burned to death by extremist Zionist settlers in Occupied Quds.
Badran said the operation, which was carried out near Damascus gate in Occupied Quds , by the 18-year-old Yasser Yasin Tarweh, was a very brave one. Especially that it was carried out in a location crowded with Israeli forces and policemen.
Badran added it sends a resistance message to Israel that the Palestinian youth is capable of resisting and challenging the Israeli occupation.
The Hamas spokesman noted that carrying out two operations, the stabbing and shooting, within 48 hours is a great national achievement in the West Bank which suffers suppression by Israeli regime forces in light of the intensification of security coordination between Israeli regime forces and the Palestinian Authority forces.
