Ousted Yemeni President Reportedly Killed Fleeing Capital Sanaa

Alwaght- Ousted Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has been reportedly killed on Monday while fleeing the capital city of Sanaa to Maarib province.

Yemen's al- Masirah TV announced the death of the “leader of the traitors” on Monday, referring to Saleh.

Yemen’s Interior Ministry has issued a statement confirming the death of Ali Abdullah Saleh, during clashes in capital Sanaa.

Video and images were also shared on social media appeared to show the body of Saleh. Armed militiamen unfurled a blanket containing the corpse and shouted, “praised God!” and “hey Ali Affash!”, another last name for Saleh.

Abdullah Saleh, a three-year ally of Ansarullah movement in fight against Saudi invaders, said on Saturday he was ready to turn a “new page” in relations with the Saudi-led coalition, which have launched a bloody aggression on Yemeni nation since 2015 killing over 13,000 people and bringing the Arab state on the verge of famine.

The address came as forces loyal to Saleh were engaged in battle with the troops of Ansarullah in the capital Sanaa. Hostilities between the two sides broke out on Wednesday.
