ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says the European Union must seriously revise what he called its “unconstructive” approach toward Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made the remarks during a phone call with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union. Araghchi urged the bloc to seriously revise what he described as its unconstructive approach toward Tehran.
He criticized the EU’s decision to blacklist the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization and condemned what he called unwarranted interference in Iran’s internal affairs, as well as the bloc’s positions on regional issues, including Gaza.
Kombos welcomed the launch of a new round of Iran–US nuclear talks and expressed Cyprus’s readiness to assist. Araghchi briefed him on the latest negotiations, held in Muscat on February 6, which he described as a good start, with both sides agreeing to continue discussions.
