ALWAGHT- Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi, commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces, has announced that more than 50 combat and support units have been stationed along Iran’s borders to safeguard the country’s security. Speaking on Saturday, October 10, 2026, he said the deployments cover areas from the northwest and west to the southwest, as well as eastern regions and the Makran coast.
Jahanshahi said the Army’s ground units had been positioned in border areas before the US-Israeli war. He noted that the forces include special operations personnel, rapid-response units, mechanized formations, and artillery units, all supported by the necessary equipment and resources.
The commander added that lessons learned from the previous 12-day conflict with the United States and Israel had prompted revisions to operational plans and military organization. He said Iran had also prioritized equipping its forces with precision-strike weapons and advanced systems featuring smart and network-enabled capabilities to strengthen combat readiness.
