ALWAGHT- Yahya Saree says Yemen targeted the Saudi tanker Amzan and Saudi military positions as Sana’a enforces its maritime ban under the “blockade for blockade” equation.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Yahya Saree said Yemen targeted the Saudi oil tanker Amzan off Yanbu with a ballistic missile, causing a fire and prompting nearby vessels to flee.
Saree said the strike was part of Sanaa’s decision to ban maritime traffic linked to Saudi Arabia under its “blockade for blockade” military equation.
He also announced two operations against Saudi forces, targeting military convoys and positions with ballistic missiles and drones. Saree claimed the attacks destroyed more than 10 weapons trucks and caused dozens of deaths and injuries, including officers and commanders.
The operations followed Saudi artillery strikes on residential areas in Yemen’s Saada province. Saree warned that Yemen would continue enforcing the maritime ban and respond to any further Saudi escalation with broader and stronger attacks.
