ALWAGHT- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro reiterated that the country will not bow to Western influence or serve as a subordinate to any dominant power.
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro stated at an international conference in Caracas that Venezuela will never humiliate itself before any empire, emphasizing the country’s determination to maintain sovereignty and independence from foreign powers. He vowed that attempts to dominate Venezuela will be met with a moral, ethical, and political response in the years to come.
Maduro accused the United States of planning armed aggression to impose a puppet government and seize Venezuela’s natural resources, including oil, gas, and gold. He stressed that the people of the US are aware of these intentions and that Venezuela will resist any attempts at regime change or foreign control.
He further called for regional unity in the face of imperialist threats, asserting that an attack on Venezuela would be an attack on all of South America. Maduro reiterated that Venezuela will never become a colony, a backyard, or subordinate to any foreign empire, highlighting the historic context of US intervention in Latin America dating back to the Monroe Doctrine.
