ALWAGHT- A senior military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has cautioned adversaries that Iran’s next retaliatory strikes, should a new aggression occur, will be significantly more powerful than those during the recent 12-day Israeli conflict.
Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi, senior military advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader and former IRGC chief, warned that any new aggression against Iran would trigger a retaliatory response far exceeding enemy expectations. He emphasized Iran’s deep knowledge of adversaries’ interests, bases, and forces across West Asia, with thousands of missiles targeting these locations, highlighting the IRGC’s extended power beyond the region. Safavi referenced Iran’s recent successful defense and retaliatory operations during the 12-day Israeli war, which included intercepting attacks and launching ballistic missile strikes on key Israeli sites.
Safavi condemned Israel as the “Lesser Satan” and the United States as the “Great Satan,” asserting that despite their efforts, they failed to achieve their goals of subjugating Iran, reversing the Islamic Revolution, or dividing the nation. He expressed confidence that victory belongs to Iran, crediting divine support and leadership guidance. The general also predicted the accelerated demise of the Zionist regime, asserting that the blood of martyrs will ultimately overwhelm Israel and that its downfall, along with that of Prime Minister Netanyahu, is imminent.
In addition, Safavi declared the failure of the US “Greater West Asia” plan aimed at expanding American influence, stating that the future of the region will be shaped by Iran’s Islamic Revolution and the Resistance Axis. He highlighted Iran’s growing strategic reach through allied groups like Hezbollah, extending to the Mediterranean, Red Sea, and Bab al-Mandab Strait. Safavi foresees the empowerment of the 1.5-billion-strong Muslim world contributing to the decline of US power and influence in the region.
