Yemen Rejects Saudi Claims of Missile Attacks on Mecca as Psychological War

Ansarullah spokesman Mohammad Abdulsalam

Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement strongly denied Saudi claims that the movement had targeted the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia

Alwaght- Ansarullah resistance movement strongly denied Saudi regime's claim that the Yemeni movement had targeted the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

Ansarullah denounced the Kingdom for resorting to media hype in order to justify its aggressions against Yemeni people.

Saudi officials are looking for sympathy in the name of guardianship of the Masjid al-Haram in the holy city of Mecca, and availing themselves of media frenzy, Ansarullah spokesman Mohammad Abdulsalam said in a statement.

The spokesman called on all Muslims not to believe the lies propagated by Saudi regime and said "the Yemeni nation needs no proof to show its Arab and Muslim identity. It has never targeted religious sites, and definitely treats religious rites with much greater respect compared to US mercenaries. Aggressors must end their attacks and siege against Yemen, embrace peace and observe the principle of good neighborliness."

On Thursday, Yemeni army and its allies fired an indigenous Borkan-1 (Volcano-1) missile towards King Abdulaziz International Airport, located 19 kilometers north of the western Saudi port city of Jeddah.

Saudi sources claimed they had intercepted and destroyed the missile before hitting the target; however they claimed the missile targeted the Muslim’s holiest city of Mecca.

Yemen rejected both claims saying the missile had hit its target and caused major destructions on the airport in the strategic port city of Jeddah.
