ALWAGHT- The head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture stated that Iran and Turkey possess significant potential to increase their annual trade volume to $30 billion.
In a meeting with Turkey's ambassador to Iran, Samad Hassanzadeh—chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce—highlighted the close Iran-Turkey relationship and stressed that annual bilateral trade should reach $30 billion. He also strongly condemned the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, stating it has inflicted considerable damage on the global economy, shutting down or reducing industrial capacity in many countries. He added that skyrocketing inflation has severely harmed people's livelihoods, and many airlines have faced significant losses due to the aggression.
Turkish Ambassador Hicabi Kırlangıç, for his part, emphasized the illegality of the US and Israeli attacks, arguing they violate international law and the UN Charter. He expressed hope that Iran-US negotiations will yield positive results for the Iranian people. On trade, Kırlangıç described current exchanges as satisfactory, noting that before sanctions, annual trade turnover between the two countries stood at $22 billion.
