The US President Donald Trump has just reached this stage as he used a vulgar language in asking Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz that has been closed since war started on February 28. In unusual words and far from politeness, Trump insulted Iran in his call for Tehran officials to reopen the key waterway in the Persian Gulf, threatening that he will bomb power plants and bridges if Iran refused to do so.
Trump’s rude rhetoric has sparked backlash even at home. Piers Morgan, the well‑known British TV host and a supporter of Israel, slammed Trump’s profanity and his threat of war crimes against Iran, calling it “a disgrace.” He said: “Delete it, Mr. President Trump — unless you want everyone to think you’ve lost your mind!”
Also, Senator Ed Markey responded on X to Trump’s crude remarks about the Strait of Hormuz, writing: “A reckless, profanity‑laced tweet threatening a war crime won’t open the Strait of Hormuz. The only thing that will is negotiating with Iran. Start with the path you’ll be forced to take in the end, Donald — so Americans don’t have to pay more for gas and our military personnel don’t lose their lives.”
Why did Trump use vulgar words?

The fact is that Trump has used crude language against Iran in gid call for reopening the strait while after a month, there are no signs of collapse of the political system in Iran. Reports, including one in Daily Pennsylvania, suggest that air campaign against Iran in 36 days cost the US $27-28 billion.
If the operation continues until the end of April, the report adds, it is estimated that the total costs of the war over this two-month period could reach $47 billion.
It is noted that the mentioned costs do not account for approximately $5 billion in indirect war expenses for the US and that this report only includes "direct federal military costs" of the US in the war.
Beyond financial costs, the long-term care expenses for wounded soldiers in the war, more than 300 members of the US military who have been injured so far, are another cost that the Trump administration has imposed on the American people due to the war against Iran, the report further says.
Despite these costs, however, the Trump administration has so far failed to achieve its objectives in the war, with reports indicating that the administration is pressuring Iran to accept a ceasefire and stop the conflict.
Therefore, the deadlock in achieving the war’s objectives, in light of the exorbitant costs, has been one of the reasons for Trump's anger and harsh rhetoric regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The Senate elections are approaching and Trump has not secured even one of the four key goals in war with Iran. He has failed to decimate Iran's missile program, wrest enriched uranium from Iran, take Iran's oil, or reopen Strait of Hormuz.
This gives reasons to many Americans to see the war a failure, and losing the war means losing further seats by Trump and his fellow lawmakers and senators in the coming elections, which will stand as a showcase of the Americans' objection to a fruitless war against Iran.
