ALWAGHT- Iran’s Nuclear Science and Technology Research Institute (NSTRI) has revealed three domestically developed products for diagnosing and treating diseases using nuclear medicine.
Iran unveiled three domestically developed nuclear medicine products at a ceremony in Tehran, attended by Atomic Energy Organization Head Mohammad Eslami and Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref.
The products include 68Ga-Alpha-MSH for PET imaging of metastatic melanoma, 177Lu-Alpha-MSH for targeted treatment of the disease, and an automated system for producing radiopharmaceuticals used in treating bone metastases. The event also marked the launch of Iran’s national nuclear network.
Eslami highlighted the AEOI’s role in turning innovative ideas into practical products and noted that Iran is currently producing 70 different radiopharmaceuticals.
