ALWAGHT- Iraq’s foreign minister commended Iran for choosing dialogue and diplomacy to resolve issues related to its nuclear program.
In a phone call on Monday, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Mohammed Hussein praised Iran’s commitment to diplomacy and dialogue in addressing disputes, particularly concerning its nuclear program. He also welcomed the recent indirect talks between Iran and the US and acknowledged Oman’s constructive role as mediator.
Hussein expressed optimism that continued engagement and a constructive approach from all parties would lead to positive outcomes for the wider region. He emphasized the importance of dialogue in maintaining regional stability.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, meanwhile, shared Iran’s perspectives on current regional and international developments. He also updated Hussein on the recent round of nuclear talks in Muscat, held on April 12, and noted that the next round of negotiations is set for April 19 in a European country, with Oman continuing its mediation role.
