ALWAGHT- An aide to the Foreign Minister responded to recent remarks by Turkey's top diplomat regarding Iran, advising Turkey’s envoy in Tehran to refrain from making "false statements and unrealistic analyses."
Mahmood Heidari, an aide to Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, emphasized the importance of avoiding "false statements" that could strain bilateral relations between Iran and Turkey. He made these comments during a meeting with Turkey’s Ambassador to Tehran, Hicabi Kırlangıç, in response to remarks by Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan about Iran's regional policies.
Heidari stressed that the shared interests of the two countries and the sensitive regional situation call for careful diplomacy to prevent misunderstandings. He also highlighted the ongoing Israeli aggression as the greatest threat to regional security and stability, urging Islamic nations to unite against Israeli actions in Palestine and Syria.
In response, Ambassador Kırlangıç affirmed Turkey’s commitment to strengthening relations with Iran. He expressed a desire for closer cooperation between the two countries to enhance bilateral ties and address regional challenges, and promised to relay Iran’s concerns to the Turkish government.
