ALWAGHT- The secretary general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement stated that the group has recovered significantly since the assassination of its former leader, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut on September 27, highlighting that it has also restored its military strength.
“We have demonstrated through resistance that we will not allow the [Zionist] enemy to impose its agenda. It is now the responsibility of the Lebanese government and the international community to address the ongoing acts of aggression against Lebanon,” Sheikh Naim Qassem stated.
The Hezbollah leader emphasized that his movement has successfully resisted Israeli expansionist ambitions and called on the Beirut government to take decisive political action in response.
Speaking during a televised address at the fourth international congress honoring Ayatollah Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah Yazdi, held in Tehran on Wednesday, Sheikh Qassem highlighted Hezbollah’s resilience and growth. “We have revived ourselves and continue to thrive with faith and dedicated servicemen, enabling us to grow stronger,” he said.
He further condemned the Israeli military’s actions in Gaza, accusing it of committing genocide by indiscriminately killing civilians, destroying homes, and annihilating all life in the besieged coastal territory.
Sheikh Qassem labeled the Tel Aviv regime as barbaric and criminal, widely condemned by the Muslim world and the international community. He also criticized the United States for supporting these atrocities, describing it as a criminal power and an enemy of humanity.
