ALWAGHT- Palestinian medical sources report that at least 19 Palestinians, including children, have been killed and a dozen others injured in new Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across the besieged Gaza Strip.
On Sunday, Israeli airstrikes targeted several areas in Gaza, leaving at least 19 Palestinians dead and many others injured. An attack on a vehicle in Gaza City’s Jalaa Street killed at least four people, while a raid on the Jabalia refugee camp claimed the lives of at least five people, including children. These strikes are part of the ongoing deadly assault by the Israeli military in Gaza.
In addition to the vehicle attack and the raid on Jabalia, an Israeli airstrike hit the Musa bin Nusair School in the al-Daraj neighborhood of central Gaza City, killing eight people, including two women and two children. Several other individuals were also injured. Eyewitnesses reported fires and significant damage to the school, which was sheltering displaced families.
The bombardment continued throughout the night and into Sunday morning. Northern Gaza, including Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun, faced heavy shelling, particularly around Kamal Adwan Hospital. In central Gaza, artillery strikes targeted the New Camp in Nuseirat, while southern Gaza saw an Israeli helicopter attack that killed a Palestinian man and his wife in Khan Younis. In Rafah, three more Palestinians were killed in airstrikes on the eastern side of the city.
The violence is part of the broader Israeli military campaign that began on October 7, 2023, following Hamas's Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. This ongoing assault has killed over 45,000 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children, and injured more than 107,000 others. Israel has also blocked essential supplies, including food, medicine, and fuel, from entering Gaza, contributing to the collapse of vital infrastructure in the region.
