Alwaght- After forty days of martyrdom of Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, millions of believers in the school and thought of resistance around the geography of the Axis of Resistance continue to commemorate this indefatigable struggler, proving that though he is gone, the flag he rose has not fallen and his path will firmly continued.
Although Sayyed Hassan spent a major part of his precious life in the field of jihad and struggle against occupation and imperialism and the world mainly knows Martyr Nasrallah with the special characteristics of political leadership and fiery speeches and strategic war management, those who are more familiar with 'master of resistance' have pointed to less known other prominent religious and characteristic factors of his personality.
In this connection, Tehran hosted 'School of Nasrallah' conference to mark forty days of his martyrdom. Lecturers, thinkers and various officials from 13 countries including Lebanon, Iraq, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Turkey, India, Malaysia, Algeria and Tunisia attended the conference to examine the role and place of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's leadership in the Islamic world.
Various sections of this conference shed light on the intellectual and epistemological dimensions of the character of Sayyed Nasrallah with the aim of creating patterns and making enlightenment on the role of the future leaders of the resistance.
In the opening day of the event, video messages of New Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabieh Berri were played to the conference to underscore the special attention of Lebanon's resistance to holding such conferences even in the midst of war with the Israeli regime.
Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour, the head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization of Iran, at the beginning of this conference, said that the main purpose of this meeting was to pay tribute to a personality whose unknown dimensions were more than his known dimensions.
"Honoring the dear Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is honoring all the martyrs of the Axis of Resistance, from Martyr Qassem Soleimani to Martyr Haniyeh, Martyr Sanwar, Martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine and Martyr Nilforoshan," he said.
Muhammad Baqer Qalibaf, speaker of the Iranian parliament, also honored Martyr Nasrallah in this conference, saying: "Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah was a prominent Shiite figure, but at the same time he was a symbol of true unity based on the interests of the (Islamic) Ummah. As the leader of Hezbollah, he never said that [Operation] Al-Aqsa Storm is a Palestinian or Sunni issue, but he recognized it as an matter of resistance, Islam, and humanity, and he sacrificed himself for the cause of resistance."
Qalibaf added that Nasrallah did not look at Hezbollah as a mere military institution. Rather, it took it severel steps beyond and transformed it into a social and cultural institution, while uping its defense capabilities to become an influential actor in the West Asia.
Stating that Israel was disgraced even in the assassination of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, Qalibaf held that "today, the Israelis understand what Yawash Yawash (Persian word for gently Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah used to describe the process of defeating Israel) means, today they are receiving deadly blows from Hezbollah." Qalibaf further described Sayyed Nasrallah and his allies as the axis of peace and stability in West Asia and even the world, adding: "If the leaders of America wanted peace for the West Asia, they should have controlled their watchdog," a word Iranian officials use to point to Israel as protector of the Western imperialism's interests.
Hezbollah's irreplaceable role in Axis of Resistance
A majority of the speakers in the conference dedicated part of their speech to the distinguished characteristics of Sayyed Nasrallah.
Iran's Foreign Minister Sayyed Abbas Araghchi said: "Today, we have gathered to honor the memory of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, this great and steadfast resistance leader, a character who is a symbol of resistance, courage and standing against oppression and aggression not only for Lebanon, but also for the Islamic world and all freedom-loving nations. His martyrdom is a great loss for the region and the world, but his way and dreams for freedom will remain alive. Martyr Nasrallah, with his unique courage, played an irreplaceable role in a new definition of resistance, which was rooted in his faith and in his endless commitment to justice and humanity."
The FM added that Sayyed Nasrallah as a progressive and tireless leader managed to cause fundamental changes to regional equations. In today's world, where international relations have become increasingly complex and multifaceted, Martyr Nasrallah, with a deep understanding of international relations and the balance of power, was able to turn Resistance camp into an influential factor in regional and even global equations. He taught others how to resist, move forward, and be influential without depending on great powers.
Araghchi further added that the mark of Sayyed Nasrallah's blood will be larger and more influential than him. "The path of resistance and standing against oppression and aggression will continue. The Islamic Republic of Iran, based on its principles and values and inspired by great martyrs like Nasrallah, continues to support the resistance and the oppressed nations of the region. The martyr's blood is the guarantor of our success and leads us to a brighter and more just future. The weapon of resistance is not missiles, drones and other military weapons, the main weapon of resistance is the blood of martyrs.
Nasrallah was a politician and commander
Although Sayyed Nasrallah was mentioned as a military leader in the public opinion, the people who knew him closely describe him as a comprehensive man who had all the military, political and spiritual qualities.
Abbas Salehi Amiri, the Iranian minister of culture, who was one of the speakers of this conference, highlighted Nasrallah's sacrifices: "Martyr Nasrallah was an analytical and thoughtful person, but at the same time, he was distinguished in this field as a practical person in the field, which is a rare combination. He was at the top when he analyzed and he was at the top when he acted. Another point is that Martyr Nasrallah was a serious and complete politician both in the national, regional and global arenas and was a top military commander. There are few people who are like this and Sayyed Hassan was both."
Iran's Vice President for Strategic Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif was also one of the other speakers of the conference: He said: "Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was the continuation of the brilliant path of resistance against the occupying, oppressive regime and child-killing Zionist regim. This path started with noble martyrs and will continue with recent martyrs, as General Qassem Soleimani, Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sanwar and other recent martyrs continued. Zarif stated that "we should not allow te enemies to show us the wrong path of resistance. Nasrallah and the martyrs of Palestine were all martyred for resisting the occupation, aggression and murder, and these killings will not stop them from fighting the enemy."
Nasrallah, the great man of history
In addition to Iranian officials, prominent foreign figures also attended the conference and delivered their speeches.
"It is a great honor for me to be in the arms of the Axis of Resistance and among great leaders. Martyr Nasrallah was one of the great men that we will see someone like him once a century. He is a pattern of resistance and future generations will remember him. The scent of the blood of these martyrs will definitely remain. Our battle is not the battle of Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Tehran and Yemen, but the battle of right against wrong. We are in a big battle that is similar to the developments of World War I and II and the collapse of the Berlin Wall," said Iraqi thinker Sheikh Abdel Latif Al-Humayem.
Arrangement of international School of Nasrallah conference indicates that the path of resistance continues and assassination of the resistance commanders and leaders will not damage this path. The Israelis thought that with the assassination of Nasrallah, Hezbollah would collapse and they could guarantee the security of the settlers, but this crime backfired and with the election of the new secretary-general, the range of this movement's operations against the occupied territories increased. Now, in addition to the previous displaced Israelis, tens of thousands of others have been displaced from their homes amid heightened Hezbollah attacks on northern Israel.
Iut of sight, out of mind' may be true about the Israeli occupation leaders, but about the senior resistance leaders, it is to totally different, and the blood of the martyrs injects more energy and life into the blood vessels of the free nations in the region. Just contrary to the imagination of the Tel Aviv leaders, the martyrdom of the commanders of resistance has given the people of the region broader knowledge of the secret but simple life of these martyrs. Actually, remembering the endeavor of these martyrs has invalidated the misconception that the Israelis have propagated in the world about these leaders, and holding protest demonstrations against the Israeli regime in Western countries bears proof to this fact.
Resistance to oppression and occupation has long existed, and this path not only was not left, but also further sacrifices empowered it. The best proof is frustration of the Western-backed, armed-to-the-teeth Israeli army against the resistance groups that seeks a way out of the quagmire it created.
