ALWAGHT- Senior military commanders from Iran and China discussed strategies for enhancing regional and international security and tackling threats to global stability.
Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Deputy Chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination, who was in China for the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, visited the National Defense University of the People’s Liberation Army of China on Saturday.
He also participated in a meeting with the Chinese military think tank.
During his visit, Rear Admiral Sayyari and senior Chinese commanders engaged in discussions on various security matters, including both domestic and international security issues and the latest developments in the West Asia region.
In his discussions with members of the Chinese military think tank, the Iranian general and Chinese officials identified defense and security as critical concerns for any political system. They also examined different threats and issues that undermine international security.
The 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, held at the Beijing International Convention Center from September 12 to 14, was centered around the theme “Promoting Peace for a Shared Future.”
Forum participants addressed the role of Global South countries in international security, the enhancement of global security mechanisms, the maintenance of peace and development in the Asia-Pacific region, and the pursuit of a balanced and orderly multipolar world.
