Hezbollah resistance forces in Lebanon successfully halted an Israeli military intrusion into the southern region. This action took place amidst the group's strikes against the Zionist regime's positions in response to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.
According to a statement from Hezbollah reported by Lebanon's Arabic-language al-Manar television channel, the group directed an attack towards an assembly of Israeli forces situated at an outpost in the town of Zar'it near the Lebanese border on Monday. Several soldiers sustained injuries in the incident.
The statement further mentioned that the Zionist military personnel were gearing up for an assault on a region in southern Lebanon.
This development occurred a few hours after Hezbollah declared, in a separate statement, that at 4:45 p.m. (1445 GMT) on Sunday, they had fired a high-caliber Burkan (Volcano) missile. The target was a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Hadab al-Bustan site, resulting in casualties among the forces.
Lebanese resistance fighters also launched rockets at Israeli soldiers stationed at an outpost in the Ruwaisat al-Qarn area in the occupied Shebaa Farms, resulting in casualties among the forces.
The Israeli regime initiated its intense hostilities in the Gaza Strip on October 7 following a surprise retaliatory attack by the territory's Hamas-led Palestinian resistance groups, known as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.
Since then, the Israeli military has conducted assaults on Lebanese territory, eliciting counterattacks from Hezbollah, Lebanon's resistance movement, in solidarity with the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.
Hezbollah has pledged to persist in its retaliatory actions as long as the Zionist regime of Israel continues its brutal genocide in Gaza.
The Israeli campaign in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of at least 25,105 people, predominantly women and children, with over 62,000 individuals sustaining injuries.
