Alwaght- One Palestinian has been killed and nearly 1000 injured in besieged Gaza Strip during peaceful protests against occupation of their territories by the Israeli regime.
The protests which are taking place for the third Friday in a row, are part of the Great March of Return movement. Unarmed Palestinian protestors have been deliberately targeted by Israeli regime snipers.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has confirmed that Islam Herzallah, 28, has died after being shot by Israeli snipers in his stomach, east of Gaza.
Since the peaceful protests began on March 30, 34 Palestinians, including children, have been killed by Israeli regime forces, with nearly 3,000 injured.
Gaza's Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said that number of paramedics suffered from suffocation as Israeli troops targeted the ambulances and medics east of Gaza City with tear gas.
During the protest, Palestinians ripped Israeli flags and photos of Israeli regime’s premier Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's Minister of Military Affairs Avigdor Lieberman and US President Donald Trump.
Last Friday, the United Nations human rights office called on Israeli regime to refrain from using excessive force against the demonstrators.
Friday’s rallies were the start of a six-week protest that culminates on May 15, the day the Palestinians call “Nakba,” or the Catastrophe, when Israel was founded.
The demonstrators are demanding that Palestinian refugees be allowed the right of return to towns and villages which their families fled from, or were driven out of, when the fake Israeli entity was created in 1948.
