Alwaght_ Syrian Kurdish forces of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) have reportedly recaptured ISIS-held city of Tel Abyad in Syria's Raqqa province.
Speaking to Iraqi-based ARA News website, an YPG member said that the joint forces gained control of the city’s crossing on the Turkish border, where dozens of ISIS terrorists surrendered to the Turkish army following the clashes.
"The Turkish army arrested ISIS fleeing members and transferred the foreign ones to unknown places, while kept local insurgents inside a building near the crossing," the source added.
However, Turkish news papers have recently revealed that the country's government has been supporting terrorist in Syria including ISIS terrorists.
According to the Turkish Birgün news paper's report before the Syria crisis, Turkey was delivering electricity to Tel Abyad as part of a deal with the Syrian government and the delivery continued even after ISIS captured Tel Abyad, thanks to the alleged collusion between the Justice and Development Party government in Turkey and the terrorist group.
ISIS terrorist group occupied Tel Abyad on June 30, 2014, using the border town as a gateway from Turkey into its bastion province of Raqqa. ISIS has announced Raqqa as its capital.
