ALWAGHT- Iranian knowledge-based companies exported more than 3.6 million tons of products, totaling $2.506 billion in value during the preceding Iranian calendar year, as reported by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
According to IRICA, knowledge-based companies imported 1.158 million tons of goods, amounting to $5.141 billion, into the country from March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024.
Approximately 85% of these imported goods originated from China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, Germany, and India.
During the same period, domestic knowledge-based companies exported their products to China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Russia, as per IRICA.
During this timeframe, knowledge-based companies comprised 2.6% of the country's total exports by weight and 5% by value.
IRICA further stated that approximately 80% of the export value of these companies was attributed to advanced materials and products utilizing chemical technologies.
China emerged as the primary purchaser of Iran's knowledge-based products during this period.
